A Message from our Club President:

Hi Everyone! I’m Lily Thorpe, and I am so excited to serve as the President of the Boston University Figure Skating Club for the 2026–2027 season! I’m a senior studying Biomedical Engineering, and I’m thrilled that you’re taking the time to learn more about our club.

Figure skating has been one of the biggest parts of my life for as long as I can remember, and joining BUFSC has been the best decision I’ve made at BU. This club has given me so much more than the opportunity to continue skating, it has given me lifelong friendships, unforgettable memories, and a community that truly feels like home. Whether we’re training for competitions, putting together an ice show, traveling to events, or simply laughing together after practice, the people in this club are what make it so special.

One of my favorite things about BUFSC is that there is truly a place for everyone. Our members come from a wide variety of skating backgrounds and experience levels, including competitive and recreational skaters, freestyle, dance, synchronized skating, and more. No matter where you are in your skating journey, you’ll find teammates who will encourage you, celebrate your successes, and support you every step of the way.

None of this would be possible without our incredible coaching staff and dedicated alumni, whose passion, knowledge, and mentorship continue to shape our club and help every skater grow both on and off the ice.

As President, my goal is to continue fostering a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment where every member feels valued. I hope that everyone who joins BUFSC finds the same friendships, confidence, and love for the sport that this club has given me.

Whether you’re hoping to compete, continue skating recreationally, or simply become part of an amazing community, we’d love to welcome you to the Terrier skating family.
